Description
This Swiss pine bowl with a lid is excellent for keeping bread and pastry. Wood takes up excess moisture and releases it again when the inside gets too dry, so bread stays sliceable longer than in an airtight plastic box. The resin of Swiss stone pine, and above all pinosylvin, is credited with an inhibiting effect on bacteria and mould.
The hand work brings out the fine grain of the wood. Empty the crumbs every week or two, wipe the bin out with a little vinegar water and let it dry well. Please bear in mind that this is an untreated natural product.
